The “Picture Book Contest 2025” – Season 4 has officially come to a close, leaving behind many meaningful milestones and continuing to affirm its positive impact within both the artistic and social communities. With the goal of enriching learning resources for children with disabilities (CWDs) in Vietnam, the contest not only delivers practical support but also spreads a spirit of understanding, empathy, and shared compassion toward disadvantaged children.

Accompanying the competition were two esteemed judges, Mr. Luong Linh and Ms. Hoai Anh, both experienced professionals in illustration and creative storytelling, who helped ensure the program’s artistic and professional quality. In addition, ASUS joined the competition as a companion sponsor, encouraging creativity and recognizing the efforts of participants throughout the contest.

Mr. Luong Linh shared his knowledge about illustration at the online workshop.

Over the four-month program, the organizing committee conducted a series of workshops that attracted more than 300 participants, focusing on storytelling and illustration techniques in the creative process. These activities helped contestants strengthen their knowledge, skills, and creative direction when creating works for children with disabilities, contributing to the overall quality of submitted artworks.

Judge Hoai Anh shared at Workshop 3, “Creating paintings is no longer difficult.”

In its fourth season, “Picture Book contest” continued to receive strong public interest, welcoming nearly 500 participants and collecting 106 picturebooks from both individual and group submissions. Each artwork told a unique story, reflecting creative diversity and the participants’ compassionate, human-centered perspectives on the inner worlds of CWDs

The competition was divided into 3 age groups, open to students, university students, working professionals, and other age groups. This inclusive approach created a multi-dimensional creative platform, allowing artists to express their unique voices while sharing a common purpose: standing alongside and supporting vulnerable children.

Alongside the competition, the Lawrence S. Ting Foundation strengthened its communication efforts across social media platforms and 11 press outlets, helping spread the program’s humanitarian values to a wider audience. These efforts generated more than 2.5 million views and engagements, reflecting strong public interest and empathy for the creative journey dedicated to CWDs.
