Our Work in Healthcare

According to the Ministry of Health, up to 55% of Vietnam’s medical equipment and supplies are imported from other countries. Much of existing medical equipment in public hospitals in Vietnam is obsolete and needs replacement. Despite the continuous effort of the Vietnamese government, the quality and accessibility of adequate healthcare services in rural areas are still a major concern.

Mr. Ferdinand Tsien (Tsien Peng Luan), who was successor to Mr. Lawrence S. Ting as Chairman of Central Trading & Development Group (CT & D), saw the importance of providing basic healthcare services to all. Our foundation aims to preserve this belief and has developed several healthcare initiatives to support the people in Vietnam.

In our work in healthcare, we strive to put social benefits as our top priority. Poor and disadvantaged households who cannot afford access to basic quality healthcare services remain those that we want to serve. As such, addressing the accessibility, availability and quality of healthcare services are our main areas of focus.
